Subject: LONG LIVE THE CLASSICS!

"Petticoat Junction" and "The Beverly Hillbillies" have always held a special place in my heart. But, we can't forget the third member of this classic television trilogy... "Green Acres”!
Thanks to "The Beverly Hillbillies" for starting the ball rolling, giving us their spin-off... "Petticoat Junction", and their spin-off... "Green Acres". Although, I have never really been a fan of "Green Acres".
Bea Benarderet who plays "Kate" also played "Cousin Pearl" in "The Beverly Hillbillies", whom I have always thought as a better character, because she was too hilarious.
There is another classic television show that has quite a significant connection, just for a different reason though... "The Andy Griffin Show". The connection between "The Beverly Hillbillies", "Petticoat Junction" and "The Andy Griffin Show" in mental illness. To be specific, Bea Benarderet (Kate & Aunt Pearl) & Frances Bavier (Aunt Bee on "The Andy Griffin Show") were both Bipolar, and both suffered severely with depression, which often took a toll on the rest of the cast and crew of both shows.
So, when you are watching these wonderful tv classics & laughing, remember that there were a lot of tears and sorrow going on behind the scenes.
That makes these shows more endearing to me.

Subject: Family-Friendly Fun..!

Panned by the same critics who loved crap like "All In the Family", This is a good TV series known for it's corny jokes and delightful characters. It's hardly the best show of the 60's, But it's FUN..!
